About the Artist

"A journey of thousand miles begins with one step", said the famous Chinese philosopher, Lao Tsu.  And it was in his homeland that Rajani Battle took the first step in her quest to become the accomplished artist she is today by learning the fine art of Chinese Brush Painting. She too added Mosaics and Pop Art to her repertoire and began producing a dazzling array of creations.

After spending what she describes as "The best days of her life", in the Orient, she moved back to Switzerland and began to capture its Alpine beauty on her canvas. He passion though is the Indian  Elephant-God Ganesha, who she loves to render in her unique personal style. She has exhibited her works all over Switzerland and many have found their rightful homes in the hands of private collectors.

Recently, her paintings were displayed at 'Namaste Switzerland' - an event by the Indian Embassy, Bern and felicitated by the Ambassador.

Apart from producing art herself, she finds immense satisfaction in cascading her skills and runs art classes in Zurich. This way she can make sure she can plant the seeds of many more artistic journeys.
